Chattanooga Tractor and Equipment has started to do some heavy pulling with the Mahindra farm equipment. In late 2009 Chattanooga Tractor took over assembly and distribution when Mahindra officials decided to close a Calhoun, Ga operation and let the dealer handle the operation. Chattanooga Tractor has invested about $650,000 in the first phase to add onto the prexisting facility. When demand increases, the company will likely have to double what it is doing now. So far we have hired about 30 new employees for the new expansion. That number could grow as demand increases and the economy recovers. This opportunity has been a blessing for not just our busisness but for the entire Chattanooga Area. This new addition to our company has helped make Chattanooga one step closer to pulling out of the economic downturn.
